Chef starts with a campfire and a carrot. The class kit notes also include a ham. Everyone else can buy a campfire for 750 coins when the shop offers it. An unplaced campfire sells for 30 coins. It does not spawn on the map. A hazards paragraph that prices a campfire at 75 coins disagrees with the campfire page. Use 750.
Place it inside the elevator. The hammer can reposition or delete it there. You cannot place it in a hallway. Deleting it plays an explosion sound. Drop raw food next to the fire. You do not hold a cook button. It converts in a few moments.
Recipes
| Food | Raw sell | Raw heal | Cooked sell | Cooked heal |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Carrot | 5 coins | 15 HP | 10 coins | 30 HP |
| Ham | 20 coins | 40 HP | 40 coins | 80 HP |
| Giant Egg | 25 coins | 5 HP | 35 coins | 20 HP |
Carrot and ham coin values double. The egg's heal goes from 5 to 20. One overview said cooked ham restores 40 HP. The campfire table says raw ham is 40 and cooked ham is 80. Use the table when you are standing at the fire. Eat raw only when you are about to die in a hall and cannot reach the elevator.
Shop carrots are listed at 15 credits in the overview guide and 25 coins on the campfire page. Those prices were not reconciled. Read the shop button.
Other ways to cook or grow
Exposed wiring cooks food and awards Unconventional Cooking. Using both the wire and the campfire is described as faster. Wiring is also the Shock Hazard hallway badge, so do not stand in it longer than the drop takes.
Planter is a 2250-coin upgrade. Place it in the elevator, finish a floor, and pick the carrot for Organic. Deleting that planter with a hammer deletes the growing carrot.
Water fountains in hedge areas are free healing (Thirsty). A rare yellow blessed fountain heals and awards Blessed. Its exact rooms were not listed beyond that description.
